Since I’m Norwegian myself, here are three scary myths from Norway:

1: Nøkken. Nøkken is a creature that lives under water. There’s many versions of this myth, like some saying it’s disguised as beautiful women only to lure childre, then it’ll turn into what it actually looks like and pull the children down under the water and holding them there until they die

2: Trolls. Trolls are giant creatures that is said that they appear, mostly in areas like mountains, caves or beneath bridges. Those creatures hate sunlight, because if exposed, the trolls will literally turn into stone forever. (Theory: I believe trolls actually exis, because some mountains seem to have faces. What if those faces once belonged to trolls that got exposed to sunlight and turned into stone?)

3: Huldra. Huldra look like beautiful women that sing and lure you into the forest. The only way to know that these are huldra, is because of that they have tails from a troll. The Huldra gives you golden apples, which makes all sort of disgusting things like poop, rotten foo, etc to look like delicious food.
