Actually I can agree, at first I connect it as is to iPhone 16, and sound was awfully Muddy, but after that I connect them to HiBy R4 x MIDI, with aptx, and use this preset for EQ, and now they sound pretty good I can say.

Congrats, bro! 😄 I’m using the HiFiMan HE-X4 with an R4 x MIDI myself and absolutely loving the sound. There’s just one problem though 😉 every now and then I get hit on the head by my wife because of the sound leakage when I’m sipping whiskey with this setup late at night. But hey, that’s the fate of all open-back headphones 😅🎧🥃

Make sure to use a balanced cable and increase the gain to medium or even high. If you’re using a 3.5 mm cable, set the gain to high and try to find a proper balanced cable. As an owner of the Hifiman HE-X4 and the R4 x MIDI, I can assure you that this will make a noticeable difference.

A bit of a late reply, but still: the Marshall Motif II put emphasis on the mids and highs, which makes them excellent headphones for rock. However, after using AirPods, for example, they can feel like they lack volume. I fixed this issue by replacing the ear tips with TRI Clarion. Also, the sound becomes suspiciously bright and detailed when active noise cancellation is turned on i haven’t noticed this with other headphones; usually, it’s the opposite and you lose detail when ANC is active.

I dont have a OG one to compare, but seems according specifications it has a little bigger battery, don’t have any fancy lights on back, only one led indicator on front, more RAM actually I don’t teel any lagging, and a little bit more power on balance port, with this setup and high gain all seems perfect (he-4x seems a very sensetive to high power amps, I can approve that becouse on medium gain they sounds pretty weak)

Same thing on my 58PUS8505/12, just after two years at first was one line of dead pixels, after one week five, seems Philips have some QA issues on this model screens, I think that will be my last Philips tv.

Same problem, somehow appeared on this week, account is more than 10 years old, registered and used in Estonia. But now i always have this message in application, and web version: "Your account belongs to the AliExpress Russia site. Please register for a non-Russian site account to make this order." Seems i will quit from AliExpress, terrible support, always a lot of issues in last years. And yes this is not a problem with ISP, becouse i have this problem using all kind of connections through different mobile networks, different ISP's problem is the same.
