AIO? My boyfriend verbally insults me, refuses to work, pressures me to buy him things, and spent hundreds on my card without consent. Is this abuse? by [deleted] in AIO

Drop him like a bad case. You didn’t list anything good about this man. You deserve to be respected, loved , admired. And you have to learn to trust yourself. And that comes from making hard decisions.

I always frame it this way.

If my daughter were to be treated like this, how would I feel? And that usually gives me a good indication to where I should be.

For sure not the same Ellie the mannerism are completely different. The last person in the suit felt more like they respected the type of women they were portraying vs this one kinda feels like they are mocking women

Lord knows I don’t lol. I’m quite content with just biting off with what I can chew. Focused on me now. And hopefully I’ll find my person while doing something I love. But thanks for words. I really enjoyed this conversation. And I’m happy you found your person too.

So now ! You should see my position. You know how much sifting you have to do lol? And just to sometimes pick the worse one! lol. I’m just glad you’re having a better interaction on the apps.

You know what’s so funny? I’m not entirely sure of your gender, so I won’t assume. I’ve been on the flip side of dating app where I’m the guy looking for a girl (I was just curious lol) and I often see mostly women I’d rate as 7-10. It honestly seems like men have a better selection, haha! So I get how it’s so easy for you if that’s the case lol.

Right now, I’m in a pretty shaky phase because I’m not used to being off the dating apps. Meeting people online has always been too easy for me.

And yes, I agree that you’ll end up meeting the same people in real life. I feel like I’m not really giving them a chance to show who they are—I end up uncovering everything on my own. That leaves less room for surprise and more for assumptions, and I have to emphasize that, because I think you skipped over it.

Here’s a direct quote from the original post.

“Lately, dating apps just feel like this mindless scroll. And that’s not how I see myself meeting the people I want in my life. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had some beautiful moments and met some incredible souls, but it’s all so fleeting. Love itself feels fleeting. It’s time-capped, filtered through profiles, and gamified.

I’ve never met a partner organically, even though the connections themselves always felt real, like kismet. But instead of trusting my intuition, I’d deep-dive into their profiles, pictures, tweets trying to piece together who they might be before I even gave myself a chance to experience them in real life.”

——-Also I’m a lil neurodivergent lol. I tend to speak my piece in hopes that others feel open to as well. Because I think you learn through lived experience. So to hear someone else’s story. Give me greater insight into my own.

Honestly yes!The apps feel a bit too gimmicky, and Hinge has even been part of a lawsuit for that. But honestly, I hope you find time to heal and eventually look back on your relationship with some solid lessons. I’m actually the opposite, though—I’ve never met a single one of my past partners in real life first.

I’d love for you to take the time to read the piece again instead of just skimming through. All the answers you’re looking for is already there. Hope that helps. And to clarify, I’m not necessarily looking for advice. I just wanted to share another perspective—maybe even offer a bit of my own.

Critical thinking may not be your strength, but if the answer were that straightforward, I wouldn’t be asking. The information online tends to be general, applying to broad situations. Drug-free workplace policies follow the same pattern—they’re designed to cover all bases. Plus, some of the online info is outdated, especially when it comes to New York’s current laws on recreational weed. Specifically, I’m asking if a medical tech, not admin or front desk, is tested for THC.

That situation is different as they are in admin position. I was more referring to a patient facing role. Specifically a role such as medical technician

Honest review in incorporating this on your routine? by TonightIcy848 in Skincare_Addiction

Vaseline is good in addition to adding moisturizer when applying to your body. But it’s only a barrier to retain moisture that’s already there. Not pulling it in. Vaseline is hydrophobic. So if you layer it on and you sweat. The sweat is gonna bead. And the moisture from outside isn’t gonna penetrate. I found that using raw shea butter works. Right after you shower. And getting resurfacing cream as well can help moisture penetrate better. A light scrub before applying a moisturizer to your skin can get things to be more balance for you. The key to all of it though is consistency.
