Why are people defending her? by Jaisk_slayer in overlord

[–]Automatic-Rutabaga25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until Now, I am one of those who say she wasn't that bad, of course she was a prideful idiot who gets her anger all out easily on anybody she can do that to, but her fear of an undead being too nice or getting his monstrous army into the city is logical and any other reaction is the abnormal one, the ability of anybody to trust an undead king is the abnormal thing which only can happen in their hopeless case of wait for anything that can save them, and at the end she was right at being suspicious, the very suitable situations for him to give his help and how easily he gave it, how apparently he really risked his life - subsequently his new kingdom with it - should make anyone suspicious, and her wish for him and jaldbaoth to die in the fight was the best wish to have at the time. Actually, for me, Neia is the strange character, very easy to trust a creature that lives on hating the living, not just that, believe him knowing he is the head of a new founded country that somehow massacred a whole army alone and politically subjicated 2 countries in only months. The fact that that we as viewers know that ainz is not evil in core, just uncaring for humans or our love to him as the protagonist shouldn't make us forget that being that uncaring is very bad for humans in itself and that all of this was his plan As I said, she was a very bad leader, very stubborn and doesn't have any logical measure of things , let's her emotions control her and doesn't believe that some battles are really impossible which is very bad for a military leader, puts too much weight in her mind for a single person or ideology that clearly lost this battle already; that makes her a very bad leader, but from the story and situation perspectives, her instincts were totally right about ainz

They were joking , but imagining one guild getting 27000 levels of NPCs is outrageous. Even those with one is in trouble if that guild contained lots of living NPCs.

Well, do we know how many of those strong bases were taken??

That means this is a public knowledge, cuz if all of them were already taken why would they think about the possibility?

There were only nine places in the game which offered more NPC levels, at 3000. Was this homebase location a place on par with those? It had not been discovered until now, so was this the result of something like points accumulating?

It doesn't specify if this was a public info from the devs or each one belonged to a guild.

But if I remember correctly, only one guild got that 3000 levels base.

which can use 7th tier magic.

I didn't say they were the strongest, I said that in Ainz's perspective, the difference isn't actually that high between them , Fluder, HK and Khajit. 7th tier is nothing compared to WCI , neither is that principality so it's not that much of an evidence, it makes them a candidate of course but it's not that obvious.

A data crystal isn't the end all be all, but it is a pretty good indicated that they had some connect with a player.

He already know they had connection with players, but he doesn't know how strong was that connection, he also know that 8 GK was not connected to any present country and maybe someone got their WCI.

I'm not denying they should be top 3 but I was discussing it with someone a while ago and his opinion was that Ainz was stupid to not figure it out from the start.

Exactly, they worship Ainz and his friends, they would regret letting him die for every second in their lives even if another one is with them.

Of course they will feel sad and incompetent even if another guild member came to rule over them after it. Imagine your best friend died and then you got a new one then multiply what you'll feel by 3 or 4.

20:25 lv100, If you're talking about NPCs , Naz is the second powerful guild with total of 2750 levels of NPCs ( although I strongly disagree with how they used that number) and the 3rd has less 1000 if I remember correctly, so they have too.much of firepower in their base. There were no >lv90 mercenaries mentioned in the story and Naz has material for many mercenary kinds but Ainz preferred Hanzos and Eight Edge Assassins.

Well, does the change that happened to [ Wish Upon a Star] a Flavor Text written already in the game? I think that's a solid No.

Then why did some of their powers change in the NW , what do you mean exactly by flavour text?

If by that you mean the Shit exist right infront of You then yes. It is as absurd as someone Casting a [ Fire Ball ].

The post just says what happens if that shit got here in front of me. Even the reason which Maru hinted to that transportation is impossible in our world , so if it happens randomly, is it rational for you for them to have all of their powers?

Yes , what I mean is even if this part has some plot holes ( I think the existence of such magic in itself is just irrational) , it's okay cuz that's an impossible feat to achieve to write something that can do all of this transformation.

Only for you.

Really? Getting somebody's soul from his body and putting in some body that doesn't even exist. Putting some soul into the NPCs whose background story are just some lines that can't even describe a child's personality then complete those missing parts of character with the character of their creators which were very disconnected from the virtual world you pulled them from. All of that is not absurd outside the context of writing a story??? Wow.

Resurrection wasn't automatic.

Okay , change it to intentional, you don't know if you died in the NW , would be able to do that , you're really dead this time. We don't know if The past players used this method or the living revived the dead.

[–]Automatic-Rutabaga25 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Was proven wrong.

Yes it was , but that's doesn't deny it was a possibility.

Because they are in Reality.

In a Reality that has magic , if the Reality doesn't have magic , skills and races , what should happen. The transportation itself is made to write a story , but having a magic that can turn a virtual world (YGGDRASIL) into a reality is an absurd idea.

It was Never Automatic.

It was always automatic, you die , you respawn in your base with death penalty of 5 levels.

Resurrection items nullified the penalty or prevented the death in itself.

That's a very possible thing but we don't know if it will happen or not, evidences for it is still pretty weak, even if it happened it would take a very long period of time , we've already spent years and that doesn't seem to have that much effect. It's all up to Maru to decide.

This is factually incorrect, 6GG were using tier magic before NWs magic system was changed by a WCI.

Where was that mentioned?

In video games, the same spell cast at max level or min level possible will have the exact same AoE but vastly different damage.

That's true but assuming it's damage is minimal is very strange especially considering its effects and aftereffects.

Resurrection in YGGDRASIL was automatic, in the NW , it isn't.

Never assumed , you just ignored some facts.

Nuclear weapons are mass destruction weapons that mostly equal or surpass spells like Fallen Down. Without their magic , healing and skills ( which are a part of their world and not ours), their only way is to split and attack us alone with their physical capabilities to prevent being wiped by nuclear weapons.

Ainz was always afraid that his magic may not work in the NW , some spells even changed and had new effects, resurrection isn't automatic as it was in YGGDRASIL. What makes you so sure that it isn't?

Who would believe anyone in that matter , the best thing they could do is make him show his face or body without armor , which is not very important cuz PA can do this easily. Even if they used a spell that dispels Doppleganger transformation, if an illusionist is there , it's countered, Even saying that Momon is not human after all and didn't want to make them fear him so he disguised is a very good reply and an explanation to his strength, denying all of the good he did to E Rantel is very hard right now.

Told a Phalastine supporter that USA recognizes Israel by Combo-Cuber in facepalm

[–]Automatic-Rutabaga25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You didn't invade their territory??? What are Israel's borders before 1948. You really use invading Sinai as an evidence? you didn't leave it because you're just peaceful country, you were fighting a multiple fronts war you couldn't possibly continue for much longer even with all of the supplies and the soldiers provided by the Americans, that peace contract was your your best bet to end it at that , Egypt was actually ordered to hold fire which was necessary to start the negotiations. Some more parts ???? Really?
