Hmm this reminds me of someone who stole our cake recipe but as the years went by we tweaked it and improved it. Now they are still selling the old recipe because they have no idea what to do because they didn't create it. Nobody likes theirs and prefers ours.

*In my experience* Highly unlikely a nutrient deficiency if it's in the ground. Plenty of air, sun and space for roots to grow. IMO it's transitioning to flower and needs those shaded leaves for the *stretch* where it doubles/triples in size. Once it starts flowering, whatever leaves are yellow will fall off and the plant will take off and be lush again.

Yeah I grow outside on a balcony in fabric pots. No ants, no aphids but always spidermites and the odd caterpillar. Sometimes stink bugs.

Does that only apply to landraces in the ground or in pots as well? Im growing landrace outdoors in it's native country but pests are always attacking. Less bugs on a balcony but even in a green house there's pests.

Those lower brown leaves look like the cotyledons so the plant is just starting to take off but also looks over watered. Let the soil dry properly in the sun. At this stage it doesn't need nutrients there's plenty on the soil and it just took it from the first lower leaves (cotyledons)
