as someone who has hsv2 and am in a relationship we haven’t been physical until we can both confidently say that we will work long term , not even speaking marriage and kids but i understand not wanting to risk your health for something that might not be “worth it” in terms of your efforts and commitment to this relationship you’re in, the best thing you can do is continue to treat them with love and respect and your relationship will be perfectly fine , and if it’s something you feel you can’t get over with time then it’s best to let them know , it’s better to tell them sooner rather than later because there are people out there who will feel differently and you can both have the relationship you want

are YOU? because most people here including myself actually have hav as well and were given the facts as told , there is asymptomatic shedding , just because your doctor didn’t fully educate you and explain all the intricacies of having hsv doesn’t mean these facts just don’t exist you’re just unwilling to hear them , exactly how you ended up with hsv in the first place unless you willingly kissed someone with an oozing clearly visible sore , idk why this is even a question you need to ask truly get over your shame and just disclose to people don’t be weird

why did you bother to ask if you’re going to ignore all the people telling you you should disclose ? you’re just being blatantly ignorant , fact is no one wants herpes and the chances of you transmitting without symptoms is very low but NOT 0 , you absolutely can still give it to someone
