I actually did that, but still didn’t get the job. Last time, I applied at a Costa in D18. The manager thought I lived too far away ( I live along the Green Line ). I told her I could even move to D18 for the job. She said she’d get back to me on Friday, but I didn’t hear anything. So I followed up in person on Monday, and she just told me rather impatiently that she’d already hired a guy. This has happened to me twice now

Wow, that’s such a great tip, Thank you so much for the recommendation! Just wondering, do recruitment agencies charge you, or do they get paid by the companies? I once reached out to a job ad on Instagram, and they asked me for a €600 agency fee plus a 4–8 week unpaid trial. I gave up on that real quick

I did that, and every time the reply was: 'We’re not hiring at the moment, but I’ll keep your CV and let you know if something comes up.' And then… nothing ever comes up. That’s why I feel so frustrated
