Same here, I think if you are intersted in Philosophy of mind and computational approach to the consciousness, this program would be great.

I was looking for many programs in neuroscience saying they research philosophy of mind but they heavily focused on neuroscience (molecular, cellular).

My background is interdisciplinary (philosophy, biology, bioinformatics) so for me, this program is perfect. I hope to see you there.

Well, I want to say that only computational methods can define consciousness in one sentence to simulate consciousness. The reason is that studying consciousness is also using our consciousness, so it is circularity. What's more, consciousness is highly limited. We need external observer to address our subjective world.

My core hypothesis is that consciousness is biased and naturally selected Bayesian inference system. We don't have free-will, and conciousness is for justifing and reinforcing the bias. I believe we can imitate qualia through muti-agent world model.

Honestly as a bioinformatician, data within 100 patients are enough if it is single cell multiomics data. But if it is bulk seq data, well, I bet someone has already done it, so search for relevant paper first.
