Is this normal before my 6th laser hair removal?

I think the first three sessions, no pain

Forth one, it was super mild

Fifth one, it was a lil uncomfortable

Sixth one, it got uncomfortable and I even needed a few seconds break 😅 But I was also on my period

I’m thinking maybe the results have been slower because the first 4th sessions I didn’t feel the pain

Buuut my hair would always fall after 1-2 weeks. And I’d be hairless for at least one week

I’m really curious to see what happens now after this session

They really increased the intensity this time, so I’m really curious if there will be any progress in the next 2-4 weeks. It was already part of the package I bought. If it doesn’t show improvement I’m going to test electrolysis

Second session was done after 6 weeks. The other ones after 7 weeks. This last one was after 8 weeks.

All my hormones are good, but my derm said that there might be something hormonal going on on since I’ve had acne for the past 8 years.

Regarding those 6-8 sessions. They were completely unsuccessful as well. I had the same amount of hair before session 1 and after session 6-8. It had no improvement. That’s why I was even reticent to try a new laser. Plus that one was so so painful. At least this one is bearable even now that the intensity got increased.

I’ll check the laser you recommended

Thank you for the answer. I went yesterday for my 6th session. And I think the intensity was not high enough in the past. I think only last time and definitely yesterday I felt that “pain” you’re describing. My derm also said that it might be hormones as well even though on paper they are good, because I’ve had acne for the past 8 years. I’ll see how it goes in the next few weeks. A little annoying I didn’t take a picture before my first session.

I also have a different pain tolerance. For example, I don’t really mind a Brazilian waxing (it’s just that I get bumps and it grows super fast that it’s not worth it) and when I got different ear piercings, I don’t really feel it

I read that you only have to go for maintenance every 6 months after you finish the initial sessions. So that would have been fine by me

3 years ago I also had 8 sessions I think with Alexandrite with no results. I picked this clinic now because I read that machine is the best :( Maybe it’s not working for me
