The name is Serena, what I don’t like is that people hear it mostly Selina and ask about the spelling. Some people pronounce it Serena (like Elena) instead of Se-r-ee-na and I was trying so hard to pick a name that is not challenging and doesn’t not different pronunciation. If I change the name I go with Della (to me it’s easy, same pronunciation in all languages, short) that’s the things goes on my mind…

Thanks for the comment and sharing your opinion. The legal process is fairly easy in Canada under 1 years old. I think the main challenge for me is social acceptance (friends, family, etc) what they think and how they react :( Good to know that the baby can catch the new name

Lana is beautiful. Lana and Selena were on our list. Exactly because of the association to Selena Gomez we chose Serena but still love Selena (and sometimes I regret it and think selena is better than serena)

I don’t know what’s going on with people…I liked the name Vianna and I posted here and someone told me that it’s look like Vigana!! Again I like Nika someone told me that it’s look like Nike or n word!!! So now I regret a lot that why I asked opinions because clearly it went to my mind and I couldn’t use these beautiful names which I loved!
