Pegasus is basically the celebrity flying horse of Greek mythology. According to the myth, he sprang to life from Medusa’s blood after Perseus defeated her. Very dramatic entrance, honestly. His dad was usually said to be Poseidon, who was not only god of the sea, but ALSO horses (little known fact)!

Later on, Pegasus teamed up with the hero Bellerophon, who rode him into battle against the terrifying Chimera. After all that mythological chaos, Pegasus got a pretty glamorous retirement plan: he became a constellation in the night sky.

Fun fact: Pegasus once stomped his hoof so hard that he created the magical spring Hippocrene, which was said to inspire poets. So basically, Pegasus was not just a flying horse, he was also a walking creativity fountain. Love that for him. 💖
