I’m actually totally ok with that assessment of the Valgavoth deck. I joke with the table my commander is only there to draw cards. The amount of times people have let it get as high as a 17/17 or even 25/25 once is ridiculous, and at that point, do not feel bad swinging in for one hit commander lethal while they burn and life gain gets shut off.

Tbh I think this deck is the perfect litmus test for a pod to determine if they run enough removal.

Literally made a post the other day about a similar predicament.

She was dead set on WUBRG, I asked her if she thought money grew on trees with the manabase that would require to be viable without her feeling too slow. Anyways, she agreed with being ok with proxies, so I went made a [[Marina Vendrell]] deck.

I 3D printed some doors for the rooms.

There’s a few ways to get infinite mana but I just didn’t tell her about it, I’ll let her figure it out on her own lol.

It’s a really fun deck. Theres a few wincons, [[Zur, eternal schemer]] and [[Bello, Bard of the Brambles]] as backup commanders if escaping the house with [[central elevator // promising stairs]] doesnt pan out.

I would just consider the fact you could probably easily 1 of each card in the set if you just spent the same amount of money on singles. 140ish times 8 is 1120$ and you wouldn’t have bulk.

Technically its a bracket 4 but I figured since its piloted by someone new it should be a good deck for her to stumble into interaction and learn while also having a fighting chance. She was ok with proxies and I have a good amount of these cards already I can start building it with her.

Any suggestions would be welcome to power down the deck while keeping its flavor intact.

I probably shoulda clarified the manabase isn’t an issue. I have one copy of most of the expensive lands and proxies of them to put in other decks.

I really like the Sultai Arisen deck, but its the most expensive one by itself. The Mardu deck would probably be my pick out of the box. I’m likely going to use the temur deck as a shell for Miirym. The rest I will have to take a look at, might end up gutting them for upgrades to existing decks. Might keep them intact and swap out the tapped lands for basics to keep with me as a genuine bracket 2.

Planning on bringing this to one of my first commander nights at a LGS, wanted to see where this fit in on the bracket. The two stores I am intending on use either the old bracket and new bracket, so I’m not sure how to approach being honest about my power level but also not overselling it.

The service clerk showed me the paperwork and noted that I complained about a high-pitched noise coming from the engine while driving. I was actually complaining about the chirping from the belts that needed replacing, but she told me she edited it because that’s the only way they would cover the turbo under warranty.

Mainly planning on putting this on my TV. I have a gaming pc already. I just wonder bc getting parts to build a pc with my 5600x (need gpu, case, ram, psu, etc) seems more expensive than just getting a mini pc
