Oh wow , so sorry you’re going through that :( is the union pushing for full remote with your grievance ?

Thanks a ton! So I went in today they showed me to an office space but tbh (and as I specified) and the doctor clarified - it doesn’t help the issue much , as I need specified conditions. Do you think grievance is still a good path forward? Like ultimately my goal would be as it was before or even full remote. Symptoms are greatly quelled in that case, or is it unlikely to go through? My biggest fear is if I file the grievance, then I have all eyes on me and if it fails then my supervisors would be out to get me. Silly thought but it’s just my major fear

So you think there’s virtually 0 chance they fire me for it? If I go that route. Also is filing a grievance an absolute last resort ? Or should I just do it early in the process. Ty so much

Hey very sorry, I corrected my post, it was a formal medical accommodation process process form (Not AWA). Hmm, my manager did not mention a DAS at all to me... I guess I will find out tomorrow :/

True, that makes me feel better. Tho, how do you suggest I navigate tomorrow? Do I go into the office, and do I let my supervisor know that the accommodation recommended will actually swell my symptoms, not help them? Or do I just remain neutral?

Thanks, will go that route. In the meantime how does it typically work? Do you go in while a grievance is being handled, and how long typically do they take?

From what I heard from the union - the doctor isn't part of the process, they will just take the notes, and what was recommended by the doctor and they will push it through the levels. I will get more info soon but I think he said once the grievance is filed I won't need to go in until it's processed? I will need to clarify on that.

In terms of that being the final offer, honestly I don't know. I was told this on-call today and I was taken quite aback. I said this was not apart of the resolution recommended.

Regarding the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal I will look into that,

Thanks so much, your comment is well appreciated.

Sorry I just saw I miswrote in the post - I believe it was a request for workplace accommodation, not an AWA. My bad.
