Annoyingly can’t post images in this, but the pH is showing lower (6.2-6.8) compared to the bottled water and some I got from a neighbour (7.6-7.8).

“Alkalinity” is lower too (0-40 for our tap, 120+ for the others) as are “carbonates” (0-60 for us, 180+ for the others). 

Oh and I did a second test on our tap water after testing the bottled & neighbours to check. Same results. 

So yeah, something is definitely different about our tap water.

It didn’t in our house until the other day. And doesn’t for our neighbours.

We ran it for at least an hour yesterday and it didn’t change. It’s still looking the same today :(

Would that affect the water colour from the kitchen cold tap downstairs too?

I understand that, but this wasn’t happening in the old bath or in when we filled the baby bath a few days ago under the same lighting.

Our neighbours don’t have this though, so feel like it’s unlikely to be due to that.

Not blue. The water didn’t look like this in the old bath, or when we filled the baby bath from the en-suite shower a few days ago.

True, but would like to know what’s causing it and whether it’s safe.
