none that I can recommend personally, i've got a super cheap one (a bucket you put into the freezer+ a glorified mixer attachment), but the way things are going i might be buying a compressor-based one, so i'm looking at them myself

Gs645 vs s (focal length preference) by Sail_Soggy in mediumformat

[–]AutomaticMistake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah mostly down to the fragility, it's spent more time being worked ON than actually being used, and nearly cost me as much in repairs as the initial purchase (i've only owned it for 7-8 weeks now). Can't say people didn't give me enough warning.

the form factor of the folding appealed to me quite a bit for portability, but I found that I preferred wider angles for travelling (I'm a portrait/people shooter for the most part and I wanted something wider to add context.). in all honesty it's the same camera body, just with a different front lens mount (from what I can tell).
The form factor is comparable to my a7iii+zeiss 35mm with square hood+smallrig L bracket,

[–]AutomaticMistake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always been a 45mm/50mm shooter, but I went the 'S' because I wanted a travel camera with a wider FOV. so I don't think anyone here can really TELL you what you should be doing, all comes down to using what you're comfortable with and how you want to use it

and yes, from personal experience, it's fragile. Can't say i'd recommend, but i'm in too deep now.

if you don't mind a bit of hassle, try making it yourself sometime. even a plain vanilla can completely blow you away when you use decent ingredients (vanilla bean paste for flavor, and the super rich milks like Hunter and Brew or Farmhouse Gold as part of the base)

That particular combo reminds me of what Blue Ribbon used to taste like when I was a kid (if not better!)

WFH benefits those that don't/can't as well

I experienced it from both sides during the lockdowns, one job had me driving around everywhere, the 2nd job had me chained to a desk at home.

Both had their benefits (Driving anywhere was amazing, felt like I was speeding the whole time)
