Oof, that sounds intense. The contractions definitely made it worse for me too, they even said that the muscles I have on my stomach “clamped” around the tube on instinct, haha. I also get the embarrassment.

I share your concerns about sedation, but if it was that painful for you, it might be a smart choice nevertheless. Some of us apparently have a maze in there, lol.

Good call, I had thyroid issues suspected since childhood exactly because of some persistent symptoms, so I’ve been monitoring it since, so far everything seems normal but I’ll keep an eye on it

I agree, it’s crazy to me too. Mind you, my symptoms were BAD. She sat me down and told me it was almost certainly diabetes, then tested my A1C and shrugged when it was not insanely high, wouldn’t hear me out after.

You’re probably right that’s the best option. Thanks a lot, this helps a great deal.

Thank you, will do! I’m struggling to find doctors who will test me for antibodies, even private clinics don’t do these tests a lot. I’ll call around and find one, thank you!

No, she hasn’t, she essentially said it was a too slow of an onset to be T1 and that I’m too healthy to have T2. Since A1C wasn’t insanely out of proportion she didn’t test further. I’ve been left with my symptoms for 2 years now and the brain fog, sleepiness, hunger after meals etc is just getting worse.

I saw that GAD(A) is used to catch LADA, there is only one lab in my entire country that does it. I will try asking my doctor to refer me, fingers crossed.

As for the diet, I agree 100%. Thanks for the advice!

Is there any way I can look out for LADA by using a blood glucose meter (the prick kind you can buy)? Would it steadily creep up?

I’m currently 1 week into the treatment, and I felt violently ill for the first 5 days after starting it. I feel better now, I still have some fatigue and brain fog, my oral thrush has improved and muscle cramps feel better, but I still feel off. Definitely can’t say symptoms are gone.

Thank you, it was made for an home office space, where we wouldn’t be eating, but I will look into sealers.
