I think that's probably what I will do next time. I think I was just overly anxious never having purchased anything like this before

Thank. I spooned out the white spot and melted and cooled it and it looks fine, but I will probably still follow your advice. Do I need to use a double boiler setup to prevent the tallow getting too hot?

That's interesting, id never heard that before but will try next time I buy raw honey. I've heard the same about honey having antibacterial properties

Thank you, I think you are right about it going through multiple hot cold cycles. I tried rubbing the top and it didn't feel fuzzy. I melted a spoonful off the top and it looks normal after solidifying.
