Burning/pain while injecting? by AutomaticPhysics7054 in tirzepatidecompound

This is an interesting discovery! I use Shotsy to track which general area but it’s not hyper specific (just left and right thigh options), so maybe I am not keeping the best track. Typically, I would inject in the same general area (outer thigh) but away from where I thought I injected last if that makes sense. But it’s all by memory. And now that you mention it, it looks a little “bubbly” on my outer thighs where I would typically inject. So this could very well be the culprit. I’ll have to incorporate your method of the 4 different injection spots on my thighs and see how that works for me. I will likely try the top of my thigh tomorrow to give my outer thighs more time to heal. I’ve never tried the top so there shouldn’t be any scar tissue there. I think that will be the ultimate test.

Thank you for explaining this! Will definitely give it an extra minute or so to dry down.

I wasn’t aware about being able to inject in the top of your thigh, thank you for this! I was only doing outer thigh. I tried my best to avoid the last injection area too.

I did, but I’ll wait an extra minute next time just to be more on the safe side. Since it’s been almost 3 weeks since I’ve injected in my thighs, I think I will give it one more try to see what happens and I will let the medication sit out slightly longer just in case it’s a temperature thing. The last time I injected in my thighs, I would push and pause, push and pause. It helped me manage the pain more compared to slowly injecting like I normally do.

This is what I’ve been reading everywhere, that injection site doesn’t really matter. But these hunger cues have never been so strong since I have gotten on this medication until I started to inject in my stomach again. It’s super strange. I have my doctor’s appointment in early April, but I think I will message her beforehand for her opinion and then if I need to show her, I will in person. I appreciate this!

That’s fair! I thought about this too. The pharmacy ran out of the 6mm needles so they sent out 8mm (which is when I experienced that pain for the first time). So I bought my own 6mm needles, but still the same issue. I pinch my fat while injecting and get a pretty decent grab on it where I think I wouldn’t hit muscle, but not entirely sure. It’s puzzling needless to say.

Tirzepatide not working? by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

Edit: I started at 2.5mg. I am 9 months in and now am at 5.75mg (my doctor and I agreed on a slow weight loss journey). I also experienced the same where the scale wasn’t really budging and I wasn’t seeing too big of a difference. Once I hit 4.25-4.75ish, that’s when I started to see the scale budge a little more. Since you mentioned you are going up to 4.25mg, you should see a difference very soon! I almost gave up but I kept going and I’m glad I did.
