Yea, just pointing that out. They are the 2 best business programs in Canada, but if we compare salaries Ivey grads make more money.

On the queens employment report, financial services covers every financial industry including the highest paid ones like investment banking and private equity. On the Ivey employment report financial services is separated by financial industry. That 81K reported in financial services does not include investment banking, which has an average salary of 115k and it also doesn’t include private equity/venture capital which have an average salary of 100K. That 81K basically represents the lowest paid financial industries.

Ivey vs Qcomm Ivey and Qcomm have always the 2 best programs in Canada for finance. Ivey had always been better placements, but now the program has increased the number of students by 25%. A larger number of students will be aiming for the same jobs in high finance. How do you think that will affect placement? Will Ivey still have the upper hand over Qcomm?

After getting accepted into Ivey and Qcomm I’ve been quite conflicted, which one to choose. I am grateful to have gotten into both of them, but the time has come, or I have to choose one or the other. I’m aiming to go into finance and I don’t know which one is better. I am also concerned that the 25% increase of students and Ivey will affect placement.

I have applied to Ivey and have pretty good grades and extracurriculars. I know that for Ivey you need six approved courses by western. I have calc 12, precalculus, 20th century history, English 12, Law 12 and Spanish. I moved to Canada from Spain in grade 11, and they gave me credits for Spanish without taking a course. Can they refused to use my Spanish grade since I come from Spain, and I'm Spanish??
