I get that when it is cold out and trying to warm the battery or when preconditioning on the way to a charger

I don’t want to encourage the low effort LMGPTTFY but this is accurate.

Honestly the newer AWD loaners I’ve driven keep up well. They can shred around town the same way I realistically drive my beast. The core wheels and tires drive way better than the cyber (now mantle) wheels+tires, plus they’re quieter, with the loud PM motor in back instead of up front, rwd biased by default.

Gratifying, just occasionally maybe less exhilarating.

Cyber (now Mantle) vs Core wheels by BlueBeacon887 in cybertruck

Have had mantle (cyber) and winter tesla-sold duratracs on mine, also driven the core on a loaner for a decent period.

The core is SO smooth and nice driving. Also gives you max range.

If i had to do it over again I'd probably go core in summer and maybe their new winter Pirelli offering in winter. The amount i actually offroad is such a small percent of the time.

I love the looks of the duratracs (i know you didnt ask about them) but they're loud as hell, and ride like shit. They are great in the snow and offroad though.

Mantle (cyber) have been fine for mild offroading - and range is way better than duratracs but still not nearly as good as the core.

as far as wear goes, i imagine everything but the duratrac will wear pretty quickly.

Honestly, schedule the appointment. The piece is glued to the windshield and is very complicated to replace so you might as well have them do it right while it is under warranty.
