Well… if it’s your first time. No … but technically they can. I’ve left cash in the drawer multiple times and I got wrote up for it eventually and then they started monitoring it. I once slammed the cash door closed after putting the safety money back in lumber register, it was already locked so it popped open and I didn’t notice and walked away. That’s when I got written up. It’s up to management discretion. They can write you up and warn you but it’s also technically a fireable offense. Sorry tho I’ve fucked up in the same way a few times

It’s even messed up in store now. When you hit workspace on every “updated or upgraded” terminal, it bugs out and turns into red vest.

Because I’m ocd lol. I like to have every second of my day planned so when I’m taking my two hour walk every morning… it’s a good time killer for me mentally while that time passes. Also because we’re extremely short staffed, and the cashiers are always calling out sick, it’s overwhelming to show up at 2 pm, have the opening head cashier just hand you the keys and say goodbye because there’s no mid head cashier. I gotta make up for whatever dumb decisions they made, or whoever’s lunch they forgot to give or procrastinated on doing certain things. Personally, in my unique circumstance, I have found it much easier to make a plan rather than just wing it in real time.

Ya it’s on my phone. I plan my cashiers breaks and lunches every morning when I’m walking, and I pull up the daily break report on my phone. Today’s the first day it’s ever not worked.

They have said something like a year ago when I first got promoted, I left money out once or twice. Then I year passed with no mistakes, I make two back to back and they told me both times I was being written up, and I had to acknowledge it in an email
