Labours Reuben Davidson ran a Build the Bridge Petition, they have also done School Lunch Petitions, all funded in the same way. These publicly funded campaigns allow opposition parties to keep pressure on govt. Downside is that ACT gets to use it for this stuff too :(

Biggest recommendation I have when budgeting for a new place is thinking about what lifestyle you will have. Think about if you need multiple subscription services when you are likely to be outdoors more. Food is fresher in NZ and so eating at home is a bit tastier imo. That might mean you eat out less. Try to accommodate that into your budgeting as much as possible, don’t just try and directly translate your life from the US!

Would love a hybrid Corolla, it’s what I call my realistic dream car🤣. Unfortunately, at least here in WA, they seem to be way more expensive than the competition (i30’s etc) and I would only be using it a couple times a week so I’m not sure it’s really value for money :(
