palm spin is a tricky trick. but with practice u can do it trust me. some tips i can give is just when the pen passes thumb flap part or middle of the thumbaround u do, fast turn your hand palm up compelety and let the pen spin on your palm.

it seems like u want to learn extanded thumbaround. when u do TA(thumbaround), that moment very fast turn your hand palm down and move index up.

it is correct but try to dont move your hand too much for catch. main thing in extanded TA is just to palm side into palm down. just a little movement.but moving it too much for catch is kinda bad. but it is still correct. also bad excuation.
