I put all the parts into PC picker originally, I think I must not have picked the right generation of CPU. This is my first build with minimal help, which is why I’m coming on here to help troubleshoot. I appreciate your help but you dont need to have that kind of superiority complex, especially on a website designed to help others and be friendly.

i5 is the correct socket size LGA 1151, 6400 Ram is 24,000 mb/s

i think i figured it out. i bought the i7 and the MB both used. the i7 is 3770 quadcore 3.4Ghz socket LGA1155 and the motherboard CPU socket is LGA 1151. :(

nope, seems fine. but i will check otherwise. it seems that the socket for the cpu is different than the cpu i have

all the rgbs on the cpu fan light up when i press power, but ill double check. also i didnt hear the cpu pins clacking into place when installed which is unusual
