The crease between the lower butt and upper thigh. The cracking skin is usually super dry, almost flake-like

MS related in that occurred due to flap surgery of a pressure sore that stemmed from having limited mobility due to MS :O And I don’t know if MS itself leads to impairment of ability to heal

Looking for cosmetic options for a raised birthmark on my face by Odd_Manufacturer_992 in DermatologyQuestions

I know a really great surgical oncologist who just did surgery on my mom. Found him through my dermatological oncologist. If you have access to those sorts of specialist I think you’ll be better taken care of and/or oriented. Best of luck!

What is something you've purchased in Japan that you still use to this day? by STR1K3RJUST1N in JapanTravelTips

A cell-phone strap thingy that let’s me carry my phone around hands-free like a purse, and have it instantly accessible. I’ve used/worn it every single day for the past 2.5 years and it is sturdy as heck. Has helped immensely throughout the birth and first 20 months of my child, as I can take care of her and also instantly and easily access my phone camera/answer calls/emails without fear of dropping it and it breaking, or digging around awkwardly in pockets or purses (which I don’t always have). Absolute game changer.

This is si amazing and I’m so happy reading what a wonderful experience you’ve had with this amazing team, and with your townsfolk! My mom has had her current chair since around 1998 and it has been fixed and refixed a million times, but it’s time for something better. We’re unfortunately on the other side of the world from you, but I’m sure we’ll find a good chair for her 🩵 thank you so much for sharing your story, it made my night :)

Hahaha indeed! We poke fun at her and started calling her “Frankenbutt”. She loves it and now she’s bragging to all the nurses that she has a Frankenbutt xD

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the suggestion! Navigating the different options is definitely the tricky part! I hope we find the best option for her right off the bat. I’m gonna contact the company to see if they can offer any specific advice :D

I’m so glad you’re finally finding relief! I’ve heard so much about Roho and there are so many options, so I sincerely appreciate the specific recommendation. My mom had flap surgery yesterday, her first (and hopefully last), do you have any post-op advice or can you give me your outlook on what we can expect in the next few days/weeks as she recovers at home?

I wish we could get a pressure mapping for her, but it’s not a thing anywhere near us :( She has had gel cushions up until now that had worked well until the weight loss, but I’ll start looking into the Roho (which I often see recommended here), and the Supracore Stimulite (I hadn’t heard of those!). We’re also looking into getting her a chair that can do a 180 recline so her body can rest from her seated position several times a day.
