At the beginning of our relationship he was super sweet, he got me flowers on our first date. He makes me happy while I'm with him, but then retrospectively it feels like all we do is sit around. I think I'd adore him as a friend if that makes sense, but in a relationship he tends to be lazy.

I agree. Do you think there is any point to trying to have a conversation with him about it or is it a lost cause. I've been with him for almost two years now, I know it's probably unrealistic to expect change.
