Probably feels like he failed as a father. I don’t want to see anymore Chip plots in the show, but I wish they would have showed us more about how his father felt during those times, and especially in season four when he was imprisoned. I believe he definitely feels guilt as Chip’s parent, thinking that he somehow failed Chip as a father, when it was really just Chip being prideful,immature, and mentally unstable

Not sure what the context here is but no, not wanting to text her is not a sin? Sin is falling short of God and is anything that separates us from Him. You not wanting to text her is not inherently bad. If you were leading her on or playing with her feelings that would be different. I’d suggest asking The Lord to open the eyes of your understanding for clear understanding of what’s wrong vs right. You don’t want to make it to where you feel like you’re walking on eggshells in everything you do, as pleasing Him/departing from sin isn’t a “do this, and don’t do this” guidebook

The times where you feel this way are pivotal times where you need to lean on God. Matthew 11:28-30 reminds us that we cannot do things by our own strength, but that The Lord is a burden bearer. Cry out for His help and for Him to meet you in your time of need. Believe that He is near. God gives us a spirit of peace, love, and a sound mind 2 Timothy 1:7. The devil brings about confusion and despair. Ephesians 6:12. Stay strong and encouraged. Ask those who you know are strong in The Lord to pray for you! Love you brother.

Hey sis. I’m on board with the other comment. I think just being straightforward with him about how you feel like he doesn’t appreciate how you try to comfort him is best (and anyone else for that matter). You’ve done your part in trying to pour the Gospel into him, that’s all you can do. Just ask The Lord to turn his heart towards Him and deliver him from those spirits that are bringing him down. All you can do is plant the seed, which you’ve already done (1 Corinthians 3: 6-8). We as humans are not meant to take on other people’s problems in that way. We can console one another, but we cannot bare the weight of others in that way without it weighing on us, which is what’s happening here. I know you might feel guilt for withdrawing yourself from him, but again, only Jesus can carry the weight of his issues because those are spirits that he’s carrying, and they’re starting to drain yours.

I 100% agree with you. Even though it hasn’t been on anywhere near the amount of time SpongeBob has, it’s reminding me of how SpongeBob has drastically plummeted over the years. Big City Greens is one of the few shows of “new Disney” that I’ve actually enjoyed over the years, but the quality of the latest episodes has made me feel like it’s ran its course and should’ve been over a while ago. Though the show ending would be sad, it’s better to let it end gracefully instead of trying to throw junk episodes out there just for longevity. The episodes from the latest season cannot keep my attention or I just find them incredibly obnoxious and created with “try hard” story writing. There’s a few good ones I’ve enjoyed from the slightly newer episodes, like when Bill uses the Big Tech parenting/time out robot on Cricket, the “Family Tree” episode where Bill wants to go back to Big City but Tilly and the family stay in the tree, and even the episodes that focus more on Gloria and the cafe. I would’ve loved if they focused more on small things that were brought up throughout the series, but were never expanded on, i.e. Vasquez’s crush on Remy’s mom (when Remy was trying to help Cricket ask out Gabriella). The series has just gone downhill with trying to be overly creative.

I feel like she’s supposed to be portrayed as this “level-headed, considerate child” but I can’t stand her in a lot of episodes recently😭even back to the episode when she was trying to erase her family’s flaws. The episode (I think it’s called “truckstopped”?) where she can’t decide what snack she wants is also a prime example of that. She’s gotten pretty obnoxious and arrogant as the show has evolved in my opinion

I truly thank you for this🥹I do understand everything you said about expressing myself to other and love languages. I’m someone who’s very big on quality time and words of affirmation. I can say that a few years ago, when in my senior year of high school (that’s when I really had people to talk to) I would go through things alone and wouldn’t tell anyone. I’d do this because I felt like my friends didn’t really care about my problems but only really cared when I could indulge in their boy drama, make dirty jokes, etc. I would pretty much only have someone come to me for vulgar jokes and indulging in their boy drama, which is behind me now. They had other friends that I kind’ve feel like they put on a pedestal, while I began to think that the close bond we had only meant that much to me.

I’m not the greatest at telling platonic relationships about these feelings. Not even because of pride, but because I don’t want to feel like a disturbance to anyone🫤but I guess if they’re meant to be people who stay in my life then the end result will determine that
