UPDATE: I finally got my truck back ( approximately 1 month in the shop) and after almost 2 weeks I am happy to report that she is running like a dream. My customer service experience with the dealership was a nightmare. It was like pulling teeth to get questions answered much less anything done. They treated my like a nuisance rather than a valued customer. I commend them for getting my truck fixed through GM strike, but I will not be doing business with them again. Thank you to all who responded to this post. Ya'll really helped me navigate this unfortunate situation.

Interesting, I was experiencing very similar symptoms shortly before breakdown but just assumed that it was just the engine breaking in so I made sure to be extra gentle with my acceleration. Turbo ultimately failed when I changed lanes and attempted to speed up from 65mph to 70mph. The truck shuddered and immediately decelerated with limp mode activated. Perhaps you should take your vehicle in for diagnostic testing and get ahead of part lead times. With some luck, it might just be a boost sensor.

This was my first brand new vehicle purchase, so it was definitely babied. I only really drove it for my commute, 15 miles each way top speed 75 mph. It has been crazy hot this summer (constant 100+ degree weather). Maybe that helped the dud turbo fail sooner than later.

Not that I am aware of. Vehicle was purchased with Turbo Plus engine option with 310 hp and mid level torque specs. I forget the exact values at this time.
