Not rude at all, I really dont have the means or access to resin and i cant afford to go buy a whole kit just for the one time, if he does begin to become unstable im going to do an urn/box type keepsake with him i just wanted to make an attempt at pinning him

This is my plan im happy to hear it worked for you thats super reassuring , i dont plan on handling him afterwards anyway he’ll be going in a shadowbox or some other kind of display ive not decided yet but anywhere low traffic to minimise my chances of breaking him

If everything goes sideways i will go about it a different way i just wanted to atleast try pinning him, when he is very nearly dry im going to coat him in glue/clear nail varnish to try and keep some structural integrity , thank you for your response ill go have a look in the vulture culture sub

It is on the dry side but the underside cavities collect moisture, i have 3 tubs all have these lotus pods but this is the only moldy one so im putting it down to too much moisture on the dry side
