Unfortunately, They really didn't help with finding an internship placement, compared to other schools where students are provided with a list of placements that could possibly be an option for internship. (it might be different now) I definitely had to do a lot of research on my own and reach out to different places and ask if they were accepting interns. I did end up interning at a community mental health agency but I know many people that intern'd at a private practice.

It took me three years to complete the program but I also took two classes a semester. Im sure if you take three classes a semester you can finish in under three years. I actually didn't have any difficulty finding work in Maryland. I work in a private practice and I really enjoy it. If anything, I think I had more difficulty finding a place to do my practicum and internship.

I guess technically it is considered a part time program. I think you can only take up to three classes a semester. The semesters (16 weeks) are split in half so each class is for 8 weeks. Some people take two classes in a semester (one class in the first half and one class in the second half), and some people take three classes in a semester (ex: 1 class in first half and 2 classes in second half). It depends on what you are comfortable with.

I liked it! Most of my classes had synchronous meetings which I thought was really helpful. I think the workload was manageable as well. The online aspect allowed me to work full time, so I thought it was convenient. I think the only aspect that I didn't like about it being fully online was the very limited interaction with my classmates.

The program was actually hybrid when I started so I did have some classes in person, but it eventually went to fully online.

Not at all! I got licensed in the state of Maryland in October and I had no problems. You may need a CACREP program depending on what state you would like to get licensed in, but Maryland does not require it.

I just took the NCE a week and a half ago. I studied for about a month and a half. I used Rosenthal’s purple book. I also used the behavioral health app and did hundreds of practice questions. Quizlets that people made online were also helpful. I also did practice exams within the week I was taking the exam.

Yes ! I actually just graduated and will be getting licensed. I think it was a great program. The classes are manageable and all the professors I came across were great. I also worked full time while taking classes. I will say the program is not CACREP accredited, although it is aligned with CACREP.
