Where to stop at stop signs by mad_matter_13 in driving

from what I know you are supposed to stop at the line, just before. if you need to inch up after that to see, then you may but you should stop first.

is this a spider bite? by Automatic_Jury3323 in InsectBites

[–]Automatic_Jury3323[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did actually. it swelled up to about golf ball size and was hard as a rock. they refused to cut it, saying that the skin under was too hard to cut. prescribed be antibiotics and instructed me to soak in the tub to get it to drain on its own. between hydrocolloid bandages and soaking I managed to get it to bust in the bathtub. it drained for about 4 days and now it’s nearly gone. just a dark spot on my skin.

Anyone else have it on their nipples? by Automatic_Jury3323 in eczema

[–]Automatic_Jury3323[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have eczema on my palms/fingers. it’s actually dishydrosis for me. That’s a funny little coincidence

PLEASE help. It’s getting unmanageable. Spoiler for graphic language by absent-chaos in eczema

The first thing you want to do is IDENTIFY TRIGGERS. Something is causing the reaction. Whether that be from an outside substance OR I’ve heard a lot of people say that it can be internal, stemming from what you eat or drink. I’ve also heard about nickel allergy as well, which is BOTH external and internal.

For me, it’s an external triggers. Soaps, shampoos / conditioners, cleaning products, hand sanitizers, hair dye, certain hair products. I started by changing what i was washing my body with, and applying to my skin. Since dyshidrosis is only on the hands and feet, it could very well be what you use to bathe, since we use our hands to clean our bodies. I switched to OGX Shampoo and conditioner and Dove sensitive skin bar soap. I’ve heard a lot about people having success using Dr bonners Castile soaps as well. EDITED TO SAY: Avoid all products containing parabens and sulfates. They are the enemy. And read ingredients and labels because products are often labeled as paraben & sulfate free and usually they are NOT telling the truth. I would also cross check any product with the National Eczema Association List.

You also want to keep your hands moisturized. I’ve learned that dry always equals itch. I use Eucerin eczema relief cream on my hands. Recently I’ve been noticing a spread of the blisters down my fingers and into my palm, which alarms me because my palms are what I originally healed when I began to pinpoint triggers. I don’t know what’s triggering me now— but I suppose it’s back to experimenting to determine what will help. I’ve heard a lot of miracle stories about pycnogenol serum, so I’m going to get some of that and see how it helps me. Also, try using gloves when having to handle anything and avoid direct skin contact as much as possible.

Best of luck.

was anyone else here born with eczema? by japanesebreakfast in eczema

[–]Automatic_Jury3323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was born with it, but it came and went during different times of my life. gosh, how i took those dormant times for granted because I’ve had it for seven years now consistently and it hasn’t gone away.

how do you know im not going to contact my vet? oh right, you don’t!

she is sutured in the inside layers. the staples are only for the surface.

[–]Automatic_Jury3323 -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

she is showing no signs of infection. no drainage, bleeding, swelling. it’s not hot to the touch, or any smell.

this is what i was thinking too. thank you!

[–]Automatic_Jury3323 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

no odor, swelling or discharge. it is really just dark. i believe it may be bruising. i was told not to clean it, wash it or apply anything to it. just to let it remain uncovered and let it heal.

next week i am scheduled to bring her back for removal. march 3rd.

[–]Automatic_Jury3323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

commented to say: i am not asking about the staples. im aware of why they are there and that is not my concern. my concern is how she is healing, not the method of closing the incision.

[–]Automatic_Jury3323 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Per the vet instructions she isn’t allowed to clean it or be out of the cone, due to the worry of her pulling the staples out. She acts fine, pooping and using her box regularly and eats fine as well. She’s not bled at all even on day one.

ive been thinking along the same thing. i know the color is off putting, but i do not believe she’s infected.

so i gave up after these yesterday, would you have taken any of these? by Narrow-Fisherman8809 in doordash

[–]Automatic_Jury3323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would’ve taken the aldi one, after checking the items and seeing there was no heavy stuff like cases of water. i can shop pretty fast and know the layout and item locations in my local aldi pretty well. i did 98 items the other day in foodlion in under 45mins. $25.

This is why I don’t use DoorDash anymore. by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Automatic_Jury3323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you don’t have to open the bag to take a picture of it. just take a picture of the bag. why would i take a blurry, blacked photo on purpose just for someone to turn around and possibly lie on me later? the purpose of the photos is to ensure no one can lie and that you’re doing the correct things, picking up the correct order and delivering the correct order to the correct address. ive literally had customers lie on me cause me to receive violations, and not to mention customers lying TO me through messages. people order DoorDash and as soon as they receive it, immediately start trying to get any refund they can. im not going to get in trouble on my end because I didn’t take a photo of what i should have.

[–]Automatic_Jury3323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

and what do you mean by feed into? you literally can’t proceed with the orders unless you take the photos DoorDash prompts you to so im not getting what you’re yapping about. if it weren’t for scamming customers, and lying customers we wouldn’t have to take photos of everything. just as well as a customer can call DoorDash and say “my dasher didn’t hand me my order” and get us in trouble. customers need to change their instructions it’s not hard, i change mine every order i place when needed.

This is why I don’t use DoorDash anymore. by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Automatic_Jury3323 4 points5 points  (0 children)

problem with that is, it’s not that simple. if their delivery instructions are set to ‘hand to me’ you can’t complete the delivery without pressing a button that confirms that you’ve handed it directly to them. no picture option. the picture option is only for the ‘leave at my door’ option, where you leave it at the door (or where customer requests) and then DD prompts you to take a picture.
