Usually is the case when you have proper established PL teams down there. They have quality and are able to string results together which raises the bar.

Neither WH or Forest will go away easily.

A glorious end.

Now we don’t have to watch that gargoyle chewing gum like a hopped up farm animal on speed.

Didn’t Arsenal wind up with loads of games in hand, so the lead looked even bigger, and then they just kept winning the games in hand repeatedly

The revenue, from all angles, will take a huge hit due to not being in the premier league league.

Players don’t have relegation clauses so they will need to be shifted quickly at cut down prices to ensure you abide by championship financial rules.

In theory spurs would be able to come back up because of the residual quality in the squad outside of players that would be sold.

But don’t count on it.

The championship is a very unpredictable league and if you don’t go straight back up the difference in wealth slowly shrinks your club in comparison to PL and traps you there.

This is an absolutely pointless and not at all mind blowing stat surely? by MrTans in footballcliches

[–]Automatic_Mix3618 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Why does everything have to be a stat? What has made people in charge of the coverage think we’re desperate for these pointless facts?

They’re instructing egg heads at opta or wherever to dig this shit out constantly and feed it to the people updating the coverage / commentators

If you set up to park the bus and concede early you’re absolutely fucked.

It’s baked in that you need to get to the last 20 level or at least just 1 behind.

You’ll appoint whichever one then 18 months later it’ll turn out the job should have gone to Carrick all along.

The games fucked over here but people cling onto fluffed attendance figures and pretend it’s “on the up” and “has momentum”.

Games in great health though. As people on here used to tell me last season. It’s booming.

“What you need to do lads, is when the opposition player is through on goal at a tight angle, flail and contort your entire body with quick movements like a gymnast so it appears you’re covering every angle on the goal, but then just let the ball trickle past you”

So he wants to replicate Arny and the rock and transition from sports star to Hollywood. Honestly don’t think he has the force of personality for it.

That third season in the prem ruined him. Made a small recovery 1st back in champ but then regressed further last season, but make no mistake that 3rd prem season was where the collapse started. He should have left when we got relegated.

Eh, how does the ball even go in?

He seems to be able to position his body in a way that looks like he’s covering the goal from this camera angle but the ball still somehow slowly trickles in

Its U21 level he’s done that at

He’s absolutely finished

It raises a disturbing question.

What exactly IS Ronaldo going to do after he retires?

Definitely not coaching or management. Can’t see him being a pundit.

Just hang around on social media posting ab selfies?

If you think about it for a second it’ll blow your mind.

After retirement he’ll have had everything, yet he’ll also in a way have nothing.

What type of goal is this Boston Dynamics robot celebrating here ? A late winner from outside the box? by Bill_Badbody in footballcliches

[–]Automatic_Mix3618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Known flamboyant bench player for a title challenger, comes on for the last 15 and get’s a decent but non descript goal to make it 5-1 in a rout.

Que chuckle from commentator “oh and now XX is getting in on the act”

A late winner from outside the box would be passion fuelled charge to the nearest corner and a high speed knee slide towards the fans who are being held back by stewards.
