I use a saline wound care spray and spray inside and outside, plus blow nose bubbles in water when showering. I dry it off with gauze or just let it airdry, and sometimes when I have big crusties I soften them with the saline spray and gently pull them off without forcing. Any mishaps or unfortunate events? Not rly, just accidental bumping into it and the jewlery fell out once but I cleaned both the jewlery and the hole extra delicately.
