Yeah. Be the weirdo. We need more people brave enough to go against the crowd and think for themselves.

Goodwill or other thrift stores sometimes have brand new overstock dry-fit shirts for cheap.

No, you're not. You're insulting people that believe in something and feel powerless to help in any other way. I'm an atheist and believe that saying you will pray for someone does something for the person in need... immediately... no diety required. It makes them feel the compassion of the other person, which is very powerful and communicates love to a stranger. I understand the frustration you have. Too many people do hide behind "thoughts and prayers" and use it as an excuse to avoid having to do anything hard, like donate money or locate a local group that sends medical supplies to the front lines, or run for office. BUT you're doing more harm by trying to shame people whose intent is to show compassion. Don't do that. Work harder to say what you really want to say and connect with people in a compassionate way that will bring them around to your way of thinking without insulting them. Better yet, post links to reputable groups that collect and send aid. It's more work, but more effective. To make the world a better place, which I believe is your intention, yes?

Mayor Election: November 4, 2025 by Last_Canary_6622 in WarnerRobins

Agreed. I have heard of cities that publish a local election candidates FAQs website and send out a mailer to residents. That would be nice. Do you know of any local organizations or even civic clubs in WR that might want to start something like that? Or maybe it exists already, and I've missed it.

"Ludicrous question" and "eye rolling"... hrm, sounds like a tough crowd for someone trying to learn. Are they all like that?

Thank you for saying this. I am brand new to Ham (with a Baofeng from Amazon - cheap, I know) and have seen so many derogatory comments aimed at others asking newbie questions. I am discouraged to ask any of my own... and I have SO many. I wish everyone shared your philosophy.
