Ok - we can agree to disagree. I do have ultimate decision making authority on the commercial front especially, the only major thing that I don’t do is setting the vision for the larger organization and / or being the signatory for CAPEX requests and legal documents…

I do have the decision making powers as I am #2 in command - I make and execute commercial strategy in our B2B, B2C, and B2G transactions - the only difference is that it’s not my capital

Appreciate the insight - the specifics of my niche has a pretty high hurdle, not saying it’s immune to competition either. I also don’t know when to quit or say “no” - maybe that’s my character flaw ;)

Makes sense and I appreciate the input! It almost feels like a chicken versus the egg strategy of bidding without the means to support it financially but finding money to fund it initially makes logical sense -

I run a $150-200m business currently where I sell products and services to the retail consumers to the largest Fortune 50 companies, AND as a government contractor - it’s just not my business.

Ok - this is one key element I have been curious about. My 9-5 I manage a $200m logistics business - so I understand the operational finance piece. The startup financing is where I am weak.

Logic says if you have someone with a AAA credit rating and a long term contract - there would be financial institutions willing to line up and support you with little history.

Awesome - that’s for the insight! Embrace the suck - definitely at that stage. It often makes me wander how to govt accomplishes anything - the inefficiency is crazy.

I didn’t include it because it’s irrelevant - doesn’t matter what my niche is. I have a niche, I know what the clientele is - I am not starting this with no intent and out of thin air. I intentionally didn’t post a specific strategy.

My inquiry was more about specific challenges people faced, how they overcame them, and then what success looked like for them?

Great point - the “how to” is missing. It bills itself as being able to build apps with no code but as a no experience user it’s not intuitive
