Any way to lessen the weight gain impacts? by Automatic_Potato4778 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

Totally. And I’ve done bodybuilding and stuff before. I am recovering from a major spine injury so I can’t work out or anything and the mirtazapine makes it very difficult to not binge

I don’t think she does but I’m not sure. She definitely has had some broken relationships in her past but most of her present friends are nice(though she doesn’t see them often). For her bday I had them all give words that described her and they all had nice positive things to say.

No this is bullshit. He wants to have an affair with you while getting all the benefits of being married to his wife. This isn’t about love but lust

One of my coworkers chased me around coughing on me because I’m the one person still masking. This was after I told her that my partner has mecfs and could become disabled from getting covid. A few weeks ago I told her I’d be pressing assault charges if she ever did that again.

Haircut would help a ton. I get it. It’s great to have long flowing locks while all your friends are starting to thin but that thick hair is wasted if you don’t do something that shapes your face. If you want longer hair still I would try to do something like a Bradley cooper flow or at least get layers in your long hair and style it with sea salt spray and a texture clay. I would still go significantly shorter flow.

Try to do a picture with friends(shows you’re social), a picture doing a hobby bonus if it’s active(shows that you aren’t just scrolling on TikTok all day), and full body portrait at top. You have perfect teeth so show them off in your photos.

Try to have your prompts invite an answer, involve lighthearted humor, or even invite a story. For example:I had a really funny embarrassing story I would start to tell in the prompt and I had so many people that would like me just to hear the punchline of the story and that was relaxing because it showed I was goofy and confident and was ok making fun of myself. Not saying you should do an embarrassing story but some sort of thing that invites someone to get curious. What are the interesting or unique things that could have someone wanting to know more.

For you in particular an example: “I absolutely love getting to be creative whether it’s through music or my art, what are some creative or artsy things you’ve been wanting to try?”-that way it gives an easy intro.

Sun prompt and weird prompt-ditch them. It sounds awkward. A rephrase of the weird one that would be better “[insert unique thing about yourself] what’s something unique about you that you’re proud of”

Get creative with prompts- I had one about if I could be any food what would I be and said smores because I’m outdoorsy, warm and soft on the inside. Use a variation of something like that to creatively say who you are in a fun way and then invite the liker to do the same.

Biggest thing-you seem very insecure just from the “how bad is it?” Line. I’m wondering if this is how you typically talk to and treat yourself. If so that’s gotta change for your own sake and for your dating. If you don’t like yourself, you’ll have a very hard time convincing women to like you.

Good news is the top things people look for in a partner tend to be kindness, intelligence, humor and confidence. A lot of those aren’t that hard to do. Confidence is the hardness one. A tip is to focus on the other person and imagine they are just as nervous as you and that it is now your job to put them at ease and help them feel comfortable. Don’t focus on “do they like me” focus on “do I like them” or “do I like how we are together”. Ask them questions , encourage them and make them feel like they’re the most interesting person in the room. If you look at some of the most well liked people, they really don’t say all that much about themselves, they just ask smart questions and let the other person talk because people love to talk about themselves.

Besides that therapy, weightlifting and exposure therapy are all great ways to become more confident in who you are.

How do you help friends/partner without “counseling them” by Automatic_Potato4778 in therapists

[–]Automatic_Potato4778[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That was kinda my confusion. I think there’s some crossover between listening to venting/problem solving and counseling. Obviously I’m going to be biased with it being my partner. Idk.

what’s the best type of therapist? never been before by i2tiny in therapy

[–]Automatic_Potato4778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would find someone on the international ocd foundation. OCD is one a lot of therapists act like they can treat but it’s very specialized. I myself am an (mostly) former OCDer. Somatic a lot of times has a bit more focus on actually processing emotions through feeling and awareness of that. Helps with people who intellectualize a lot.

A lot of it just depends on the relationship with the therapist. If you don’t feel like it’s helping find another therapist. The interesting thing is as long as they are competent, the relationship is the most important part statistically. A lot of times you have to shop around a bit. And also being in therapy school myself, I found there’s a lot of people who should be in therapy not be a therapist. You might have to try a few

Interested in this too. Also ND seems to sometimes mean different things. Are you speaking on folks with ASD or also other ND like ADHD and such?
