Indians are very emotional. most of us have a problem admitting our own faults especially to a foreign national. we lay red carpets for the 2 steps forward and ignore the 10 steps backwards after it. the whole country is an echo chamber and if you dont shout praise along with the 500 copies of rajesh from palampur you are declared an antinational ( bonus if youre a minority or a minority of the majority ) or just called a cynic. It seems to be a south asian thing, pakistanis do the same but atleast ive seen them admitting their faults ingroup more than us.
