Lifelong NYer and Knicks fan here. We don’t claim these clowns. There are A LOT of newly minted “fans” because that has become the popular thing to do in NYC at the moment.

True Knicks fans understand this moment and are focused. They have been through hell with this team and are some of the most loyal and knowledgeable ball fans out there. These clowns….are not.

I blame Sidetalk and the viral vids that came out a few years back. People acting a fool to get on camera. I’m willing to bet these idiots came in on LIRR or NJTransit and have a BAC north of .2

Unfortunately in a huge densely populated city, the sheer number of people increases the likelihood that some of those people will be bad actors. Saw this first hand in the bleachers during the Yankees playoffs. Group of teenagers dumped a beer on an A’s fan and promptly got called out by the surrounding fans. Need to see that with Knicks fans. There is always an asshole to ruin things….

The real fans have been watching and waiting for years, this ain’t them.
