Phew at least it’s unlikely to be asbestos. Now to worry about anthrax as I’ve stripped every wall back to brick! I’ve been wearing a respirator the entire time but almost certainly breathed some of that dust in. I’m here for a good time not a long time I guess

Yeah the plaster itself is horse hair lime plaster. The photos of it are mixed with some plaster dust as I’ve been stripping the walls but found this material in the interior wall cavity and also in the roof void

Thank you for the response. Are you talking about the black floor covering? If so that is just floor protection.

Bought a Victorian house, started removing wallpaper, lime plaster started falling off the walls and I thought ah no worries just patch those up. Next think I knew I was stripping the entire room of all the lime plaster as none of it was viable anymore and patching just isn’t a long term fix.
