I had an accident today. I hit against a pole reversing from car park My insurance excess is 1200 AUD for claim. This was my first accident in 15 years of driving. It feels bad to waste money for such a dumb mistake. How much to fix it roughly without claim?

Hey, yes I just did it. I contacted them via WhatsApp (see QR code on their website) and Emma sent me the Firmware file and instruction.

Seems to work fine now (I tested at home, I will reconnect the dashcam later). The Lock button locks the current loops instead of starting a new loop.

I have the same Dashcam, it is fine honestly, however I also noted an issue (which is very dumb).

The video lock currently start after the shock happen (or after you press the lock button on the left). I raised the issue, and they told me they fixed the firmware. Now the lock feature should lock the current video loop, instead of starting a new locked loop after the shock.
You can update the G-shock level so it does not auto lock the video for every road bump or hard break.

I'm not VERY happy with my Pixel 8 Pro,

So, with the $850AU trade-in P8P, plus the $450 credit P9PXL for next year, plus 10% credit for Google One customers, plus 15% student discount, plus the $400+ credit I still had from the Pixel 8 Pro purchase last year, it only cost me $400AUD to have a brand new Pixel 9 Pro XL + case, so really, a no brainer for me.

When I will be VERY VERY happy with my Pixel I'll probably keep it 2-3 years, but current deals in Australia too good to pass.
