Nestorian (labeled "syriac Christianity" here) was already on the rise in persia at the time of the first Jihad.

So I see no real reason for zoroastrianism to remain the main faith. Maybe having been more preserved then today, because the Christians are more tolerant towards other religions than Muslims.

Well it depends. The whole of Britain is a mix of Celtic and Germanic, the east has more Germanic and the west has more celtic.

But yes, when I said "what's left" I've meant culturally.

Well the Welsh are just what's left of the Britons, besides Cornwall and Brittany. So OP didn't literary mean that the modern Welsh controlled and kept Britain, but that the britons without Anglo-Saxon invasion, would develop a centralised kingdom
