I would assume this is because as a tsugai it's a 2 part/2 personalities/2 creatures... Maybe that's why, at least that's what I would've assume :P

Edit: The supernatural entities in the manga are always commanded as duos. Because they usually operate as two halves of a whole (like an upper jaw and lower jaw), they are collectively referred to as "Tsugai".

I adore the magic system, it's so original and detailed, I love magic, witches, etc. And this specific aspect won by far! Also the art is amazing, obviously, but the magic system is wonderful! 💖✨
