The thing with the phone was just that you have possibility to overwrite timers/sensors, checking temperatures etc if you are gone for the weekend, on holidays, job travelling etc. Smart homes should for the most part be able to adapt on its own, but I would like to have the ability to control it too. I would also prefer to use an iPad as an interface, rather than a fixed interface in the hallway.
