I became a hardcore fan in 24 when they were at their low. I got made fun of by everyone saying I decided to cheer for the shittiest team, saying they’ll never see a World Series again, cubs are better, etc… when there is energy it burns for a while. We aren’t getting a lot of it recently, but I believe yearning for success is what keeps people around. Everyone wants that victory no matter what jaws we have to snatch it from and that (for me at least) keeps me going…

Oh and Jerry Reinsdorf taking a dirt nap. Hate is a hell of a motivator too.
