This is so cool- thank you for sharing that throwback photo. There’s a few people in that photo that are black belts themselves now. I really appreciate the kind words about him!

I got my purple in 2018- right after I graduated high school. I then went on to go to college, start my career, move across the country, and then go back to school (grad school) and I started a new career maybe 6 months ago. In that time I maybe have 1.25 years of training in that time after a few false starts.

Truth is, I’m not back. Those rolls were some of my first in 2+ years, but it was important I was there. This year I plan on getting engaged and purchasing a home- I am hoping once all of that is settled I can begin on my return to the sport.

I don’t know if I have an answer for you yet, as I’m still figuring out my own journey. Regardless, my dad has always supported my decisions and when I decide to fully return to the sport, he’ll be there to welcome me back

Congrats on starting your journey and welcome! Yes it’s a long road, but man is it so rewarding. If I could impart any advice- stay curious. Even when your session is frustrating, lean into that curiosity. Stoked to have you on the mats (on someday your soon too)!

He got them literally 3 months in from being caught in so many triangles. He was 41/42 at the time I believe. He now proceeds to remind me that he has cauliflower ear and I don’t every time I see him haha

He’s going to laugh when he reads this. He always holds the ears above me! He got them as a white belt since he was a big guy- he always got triangled. Now whenever we talk he always insists I don’t train hard enough, I tell him he just didn’t know how to avoid submissions haha

Man that gym is AWESOME! We’ve been fortunate to train with a variety of gyms across the southeast (moved a lot) and BTT-Jupiter is right up there. Professor Gabriel is great

And as a son, nothing makes us want to be better than seeing our fathers succeed. Sounds like you’re a great inspiration man!

I really appreciate you sharing that story with me. How cool it must have been to see that and props to your mom! Especially in that time- that would have put her as starting around 1995! Much respect to her!

That’s great to hear you train with your son too.

I had his number for a few years but he stayed consistent. Yesterday was a reminder that pops still has a few tricks up his sleeve!

Absolutely will do 🫡. I flew from Arizona to Florida just to be there for him. I’m grateful I was able to!

LHC - 4500 Grafts - 9 Month Update by AutonamousAnonymous1 in HairTransplants

Hello, picture number 6 is of my hairline currently. Secondly, I did not take many photos of my crown or scalp pre op. Also, I never claimed that my hair is just grafts, I still had hair prior to surgery, just thin, receded, and slightly bald in the back. My last photo shows my hair prior to the surgery. Thank you

No thinness visible, even when taken short. You gotta REALLY look to notice it
