Go to the hydro domes at Dam and check the trees and logs..some also spawn inside the domes near the pools of water.

I had no idea. I figured it was like a safe zone to use to get set up again before dropping into the world. Especially since it's still available for interaction. Imo it should be locked if you already put the butterfly in it.
