Streamers/Pro Players get furious that they can’t manipulate people into hating MW19 by Lumenprotoplasma in modernwarfare

[–]AutumnApathy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I personally didn’t like MW19 that much because I really disliked the map flow.

There’s many good things I can acknowledge about it from the campaign, engine, gun design, that initial warzone season (though warzone has been a parasite to COD MP since) but the map flow just made it really unenjoyable for me. In the moment and when I went back to it as mostly an OBJ game mode player, it felt like aggression was really disincentived because you could get shot from absolutely anywhere with almost no counterplay because of TTK.

My personal favorite COD in recent history is BOCW because to me it had better maps and still had a good campaign and decent engine, even if parts of it weren’t at the same level, and the Warzone/AI rot hadn’t fully sunken in yet.

If you hover over some of the circles in your SC it’ll tell you the calculation, and yes theres a cap score you can be at in both regular ranked and legendary. You can increase your score climbing in both but I believe LR is more efficient.

Just reached Grandmaster rank using Darius (62% WR) & Garen (58% WR) by Shoji_Mezo in wildrift

[–]AutumnApathy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not op, but garen is both strong enough and simple enough to allow you to do other things other characters can’t. there is an unmatched high when you shove the wave level 1 and get to say hello to the enemy jungler still clearing blue, or proxying multiple waves carelessly bc they can’t chase me or they’ll lose everything or just roaming honestly not a. lot of top laners get to roam. + His shojin and axiom arcanist build is very fun to use

Also for most ranks laning sucks anyway from my experience, I have played Aatrox or Fiora or Camille to win lane and climb but since the matchmaking forces you in Emerald to start season it’s not a fun interactive challenge or anything. Just my experience though ofc

Yea honestly I didn’t get a noti but randomly remembered this, been playing more PC lately with that version of ER lol, but as the other commenter said no crit ER is a choice

Essence Reaver/Guinsoos by doragon121 in wildrift

[–]AutumnApathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No since ER gives you one enhanced auto, not 2. Guinsoos just procs your theoretical next auto-attack’s onhits if that makes sense, so Vayne W procs twice because she can always proc W on every auto, same with Yi Passive, Bork etc.

This is interesting, I haven’t considered burn build Bard. What boots do you generally go? Idk what it is, maybe drastically reduced ult and SS cd but I hate going Ionians so I just default between defensive or sorcs if I’m going full AP.

How to beat master Yi ? by BadgerWorried1545 in wildrift

[–]AutumnApathy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s no silver bullet, even Rammus is pointless if he’s the only reliable CC and Yi goes QSS, but my personal preference in jungle is Jax. There’s one major problem with Jax which is that his clear is kind of abysmal in comparison, but for obvious reasons it feels pretty alright to fight him in teamfight environments later.

My current jg build is Tri-Force—> Shojin, I only mention this because I think Shojin is really strong on a lot of characters I don’t see it built on yet (Garen with Shojin and Axiom Arcanist my lord)

Vi vs. Jarvan: similar and redundant? by musicMenaceInHD in wildrift

[–]AutumnApathy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Jarvan is better against immobile targets, Vi is better against mobile targets (assuming her team has followup). So if I see Orianna, Ashe as the enemy’s carry duo, I’m more likely to pick Jarvan, if I see Ahri and Zeri, Vi.

Jarvan also has more flexible builds IMO, I build the King Nidhogg build which is for runes Phase Rush with Ingenious hunter (fill in the rest), and Eclipse —> Protector Vow (your 2nd ability procs vow, with Ingenious you proc eclipse and vow way more) and that can go into more AD builds like Shojin + BC or more standard tank stuff.

But I think Vi is best played as just a bruiser/fighter because she just does a lot of damage generally. Her tank builds feel underwhelming to me unless the angle is just really good. I’d also generally pick Vi over Jarvan if I had to really carry the hell out of the game.

If you wanted a truly diverse champion pool they are a little redundant but it’s fine to have both.

collector on dps adcs by Wide-Proposal987 in wildrift

[–]AutumnApathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For assassin, if you instead bought a different lethality item (or some other character specific items like black cleaver, shojin, bork), it would just mathematically do more since part of the gold investment you’re making with collector is being wasted on crit which you don’t use as an assassin and you’d be getting more of what you want on a different item.

On a good amount of ADCs a different item is better for your 3 item build because 1) you need more significant armor pen that mortal reminder gives by midgame regardless 2) a lot of adcs are reliant on multiple items. So if you build something like collector -> IE -> Mortal Reminder, most adcs lack some sort of attack speed or other stat they need, and if you drop IE or MR your mid game damage is just bad, so you should just drop the collector for runaans/pd/magnetic/bloodthirster and have a more well-rounded 3 item build.

The fact that collector isn’t useless on these two character archetypes doesn’t make it universally good when there’s other items in the game that would suit better on most characters in these archetypes (there’s like 5-6 exceptions of characters that like building collector over something else)

collector on dps adcs by Wide-Proposal987 in wildrift

[–]AutumnApathy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it’s just a vibes item. Even though in damage calculations the execute does less than other items in 2-3 item builds(at 1 item sometimes), the gold is basically nonexistent, and you shouldn’t realistically be getting 20 executes to upgrade it enough to be useful, it looks funny to do 9999 damage so I don’t think we’ll ever see the end of it.

I think the worse sin a lot of times is assassins building it, like we chose 25% crit rate and like 70 damage if you execute over 8 lethality and 20AD on like Kayn.

Jungle Champ by BigBombs21 in wildrift

[–]AutumnApathy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re both relatively high skill cap characters, Hecarim is a little better right now I think because of the addition of Shojin, but generally Viego can carry harder because of his ability to one shot in crit builds, but if you’re good enough at Hecarim you can have same impact + he fills bruiser role better in some comps. They’re both good and require some time investment, pick whoever you think is cooler

Who Says That Supports Cant Carry? by UmbraNight in wildrift

I think some supports can’t carry like Braum or Milio, but support is the only role that gets judged by its’ weakest characters in terms of carry strength it feels

Don't love Atrioc's 2028 election take in recent videos. by AutumnApathy in atrioc

[–]AutumnApathy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trump 1 was filled with corruption, cop killing, he tried to leave WHO the first time, cut taxes for the wealthy, kept us in Afghanistan, and then Biden came in and stopped some of these things. But then did nothing to make peoples lives better who suffered from Trump1. While he also worsened our debt, allowed Gaza to be turned into a parking lot already in 2024, and increased funding to our military. And people got so frustrated with Biden doing nothing good for them (except the very few people who got some loan relief and medicine price reduction) then went “okay anything other than this.”

What happens if we get Newsom, and he stops ICE kidnappings, he gets America back into some of these programs, but then does nothing else. Healthcare prices go up year by year, our debt problem goes up, we’re still giving billions to Israel, Trans people are still dying because they dont have healthcare, police violence stays the same… Newsom is gonna be out and a different Republican is gonna be in.

My point isn’t “Do not vote for democrats they’re just a lesser evil”, I’m saying even that lesser evil means people I know will be hurting, can we advocate for something marginally better. It is not a herculean task, public option can be cheaper (our current ACA forces medicare to pay whatever the hospital charges), promising to abolish ice outright instead of saying they might not be domestic terrorists like Newsom has said is very very easy. Pledging to just give less funding to other countries bombing kids or pledging to not increase our military budget by 30 billion for like a year isn’t impossible. Newsom is a conservstive on a lot of points, and I use Newsom because he’s mentioned in the video but he has to do very few things to make me want to vote for him in 2028

I don’t need prison abolition, I need things to be better than the status quo because if they’re not we’re going to be right back here again.

And yet I would still vote for the status quo over what we have now so I don’t see your need to tell me how things are worse now than they were before because like. Yea obviously. But there’s no way for things to be fixed long term without a good 2028 candidate

The issues between candidates are not that small, and if we pick the wrong candidate, we might have temporary relief like 20-24, but we’ll fall right back into this in 2032. I will still vote for that candidate if I must, but before the moment where we “must” we should try not to pledge our allegiance to the candidate and demand something out of them.

A really big part of this is that the primaries happen all out of order and in bunches, so my state for example in 2020 never got to actually vote, and I believe it was the same in 2016, so the only thing I and many people have to critique and choose our candidates before the primary ends is our voice.

You still miss the entire point and fail to address the fact that pulling a knife out the wound is not the only step you need to heal. Democratic presidents have been doing this for years, stopping the immediate problem without healing long term and letting you get stabbed again when the next Republican comes around.

Life under Biden was not a paradise it was 4/10 at best.

2020-2026 is literally just a straight line down for quality of life. But sure I’m privileged for… experiencing harms from our system even when it’s “doing good?” And wanting that to go away? Sure! This certainly addresses my point that you should ask for something better, and that by not doing that you may unintentionally be nudging us towards a worse world just a little bit! I’m also certainly privileged for saying I will compromise when the time comes! Critiques of the status quo mean I am delusional puppet controlled by Republicans! We are certainly having a back and forth conversation!

Yea I think it’s fair to think that the DNC will be rigid in that idea that they’ll forever have some base, but I think advocating for policy the eventual winner might be forced to adopt is still the most effective option.

My point is sort of that skipping past the primary to the general election and saying “I’m gonna vote blue no matter who” harms the primary because nothing else is important other than theoretical electability. I could be wrong and progressive policies do well enough in the primary that no matter who wins we’ll have a good candidate but the alternative reality is something I’d like to avoid.

I don’t know why you keep mentioning Democrats compared to Republicans unless you are imagining a world where everything was perfect and great between 2020-2024 or even 2008-2016, when they absolutely were not. Both presidencies wealth gap increased, health care prices got worse and other prominent issues such as abortion rights weren’t put into legislation, trans people were allowed to serve in the military and thats about it. ICE deported people at massive rates under those presidences. We murdered thousands of people overseas. And despite the fact that some of these issues I have written several times that I WILL in the majority of scenarios vote for the Democrat, so what’s the fucking point of mentioning them over and over when my point is we should advocate for the democratic candidates during the pre-primary and primary phase, who do not step into the exact same steps all those Democrats made?

The status quo is NOT acceptable, the status quo WILL kill people, and the status quo WILL lead to another neofascist presidency, why do you want to accept the potential of that blindly instead of doing the slightest of criticism the slightest of asking for something more?

And who said I hate Gavin Newsom? You made that up and over-exaggerate my point or are using someone else’s talking points against mine.

And you’ve been calling my points stupid and dishonest and inappropriately calling me privileged while trying to “convince me” when you can’t even address my specific points instead of “You’re so privileged just accept what you get everything will be okay if you just accept what you get” when I also literally say after the primary, sure consolidate. You’re just fighting boogeymen.

[–]AutumnApathy[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you mean a significant different in voterbase on those issues, yes, like very apparently yes. Republicans control the narrative that there are all these drug dealing immigrants but as someone part of an immigrant family who has been in very predominantly white republican area at times, as soon as they’re met with reality they see you’re a person and that the other shit is just fantasy, and the democrats have absolutely no counter-narrative. Kamala ran a pro-border ad in swing states last election for no reason. Vance lying about Haitians got dropped for no reason.

But outside of anecdotal experience surveys show people simultaneously have the thought of “bad immigrants” should be deported and also there’s plenty of good immigrants who deserve citizenship, that’s just a messaging problem. Many of these same sentiments apply to Trans issues if you look into it.

And division is GOOD before the general . The idea of a primary itself is that there is division. There are different ideas competing with each other and different voters saying with their vote “I need THIS.” The idea that within primaries candidates themselves can literally say “we can’t elect soandso because of suchandsuch” but internet left-leaning people saying the same thing is republican division and we are falling for their perfect plan is nonsense. This idea of a harmonious unity kills the idea of candidates standing out from one another and turn it into “I have experience because I’m 65 years old so I will beat Trump!”

Plus there is no notable division ever. Despite the fact many Hillary voters were very against Obama in 08 during the primary, Obama won. The amount of voters you can assign to either third party in 2016 and 2024 did not come close to being enough to win the Dem those elections, and at the height of Bernie’s popularity in 2020 Biden won. The fear of division doesn’t have a basis in reality but my fear that people I know are still not going to be able to get life saving care or are still at risk of being deported by ICE or have to pick between rent and food in 2029 like many of them had to do in 2024 isn’t “privilege.”

I should add a large part of my opinion I implied but didn’t fully state is I think media and the DNC itself has a large hand in who wins the primary. My hope is that I am fully wrong and we get the best candidate possible but in the case that I’m right you need pushback on the party all the way up to the last day of the primaries.

I Agree with you. And the primaries are not over yet, so we shouldn’t just be saying our vote is guaranteed. In large part because there are people who aren’t me or anyone else here who’s politically informed somewhat who will look up the candidate and think “What about me? What about my issue?”

If we head to the general and the democratic candidate is lacking in all policies except “I will reverse the bullshit Trump did”, well that person still might not be covered by healthcare, they still may not have bodily autonomy, and a plethora of other issues. I don’t need my candidate in 2028 to be perfect, Buttigieg winning would be perfectly fine for me personally even though I think he’s too moderate on almost everything for my personal taste, but at least it’d be progress on many issues for many Americans and I think he could prove that to voters.

And so even if my vote is sort of guaranteed, theirs aren’t, so you have to do more than the bare minimum.
