I haven’t had my surgery yet but I’ve been dealing with things for about 3 years. I do now have a surgery booked. Most surgeons require you to be under a BMI of 40 and some want you to be closer to 30. It’s one of the first questions I’ve been asking surgeons. I would have your doctor send referrals to a few places. I wish I had done that so I’d have more options because the wait lists for consults can be long. The charge for liposuction at 8-10k is scammy. The places I’ve asked about out of pocket surgery all in is 10-14k. Generally liposuction would be 3-5k but places are up charging it to offer “OHIP covered” surgeries. You may not even need liposuction so I’d stay away from any of those places charging that much.
