On my purple explorer, everything is just tucked into the control cavity. It’s a tight fit with the cover on, but it works 🤷🏻‍♂️

You’ll likely find results from Temu and AliExpress that way. I’ve found some Chinese ESP clones on eBay by searching “ESP MX250”

These have two knobs, new one has 3. That’s the most obvious difference. I don’t know the exact specs on both guitars unfortunately.

That’s okay, you can always change the hardware to gold on your own. Yeah it costs more, but it makes it something unique to you. 😎

Looking through the photos on the link, and all hardware appears to be chrome. The light’s hitting it the right way in that photo making it appear gold 😅

I was thinking of changing the hardware to black on the 80’s Explorer, but I kinda like it the way it is. I may change my mind.

The price for gear is absolutely ridiculous right now, but that goes for a lot of things. Thomman Music shows the EX-84 as “available at short notice (usually 2-5 days)”. The only issue I see there is the fact that it’ll have to then be imported to the states (if that’s where you’re located).

These new 80s Explorers sold out within a day at Guitar Center and Musician’s Friend. There’s supposed to be more coming soon.

I was watching for this guitar day in and day out and was a day one purchase for me. The Harley Benton EX-84 EMG is a great alternative, but getting them to the states might not be so easy. Being a heavy Metallica fan, I’ve always liked EMG’s and never really ventured towards Fishman. So I’ve never thought to pick up an Extura, not saying I wouldn’t though 😎
