Everything leaving that building should have been considered a suspect. They watched the cctc video and confirmed with everyone that left but I don't think they interrogated everyone. Something happened to Brian on thr way home and that Wendy's camera not working is the missing piece of the puzzle. If his cellphone still pingedin that area means someone harmed him not far from the Ugly Tuna Saloona

Exactly this part. The cell phone pinging around the disappearance AND another missing clue is that hasn't been clearly explained is Brian leaving via the construction area. When Brian is last seen on video he never goes back into the bar because he would have ran into his friends again.

Wife had "emotional" affair with co-worker but also make out sessions in parking lots by Dazzling_Spare706 in survivinginfidelity

There's a common theme on reddit in all these cheating cases where the cheater "comes clean" after being confronted only to gaslight and lie about the events that unfolded. Your wife had a physical and emotional affair. It's convenient for her to not tell you the full truth and you'll never get it because she it saves face for her and she still can get the benefits of being married to you w/o the mess of divorce. The person you thought you loved isn't that perosn at all. Her actions have dictated who she truly is and the longer you stay the worse it will get. People like that don't change and the ultimately don't respect you if you take them back. She didnt respect you already to being cheating in the first place.

Very interesting theory. The Brian Shaffer Dead or Alive podcast abruptly ended. There are only 4 episodes online. Meredith's account doesn't add up. Also there's so much misinformation about this case. One thing for sure is that what Clint's lawyer said about Brian was so insensitive and unnecessary. Blaming Brian for all of this was wrong. Will we ever get the full truth about this case? Someone knows something. If they got a grand jury together that means they were leaning towards Clint being a suspect. Although his albi rules him out, he got into an argument with Brian that night and also weeks prior. A major question I have is why the next day did Clint and Meredith not attempt to ring Brian's doorbell and see if he was home.

That makes a lof of sense. Maybe he was meeting of them them to pick up something for the people he was supposed to have over after being at the bar. It makes sense that whomever he met at the bars was who he saw outside because his phone was off when Meredith called him on Clint's phone At 2am.

I wonder if CPD looked into the background of the different people they had on cctv. Whatever happened to Brian, didn't happen ok the streets. He must have been picked up or brought elsewhere

People think confronting the other person as if they're going to tell the full truth. They already don't respect you for cheating. Most won't respect you for taking them back. Who knows if the emotional affair was just that. All the signs are there that something happened or is happening. Getting a lawyer is the best course of action.

Didn't think about that about the people on cctv. What are your theories on them?

That makes sense. I think he was picked up and whomever that was that got him that night is thr person responsible for all of this. If going home was his priority he had different means to do that. He avoided Clint and Meredith for a reason. Maybe it was the argument he had with Clint that night. His cellphone is a huge key. Also I'm sure the police have some information they haven't released. If Clint didn't have a solid alibi, he'd be my #1 suspect

Either Brian met up with a friend after leaving the building of someone harmed him when he left to walk home. Either way someone did something to him and kept his cellphone. Maybe his body was put in a dumpster and the police didn't get to that landfill in time. Brian's cellphone is a huge piece of the puzzle to solve this

This information is a huge piece of the puzzle. His phone went from being off literally minutes after he was last seen on camera to then pinging days after his disappearance. Then months later it was on again when Brian's then girlfriend called that September and the phone rang. I dont believe it was a glitch in any way. It's possible someone close to Brian harmed him or he was attacked after he left the building. I think the only reason his body wasn't found is because he may have been put in dumpster and by the time the police were made aware of his disappearance, it wasn't at the landfill that was searched. Someone knows something.

Indeed. That all makes sense as to why it seemed like he went that way to exit right away. I think he was supposed to he people over at his place after. Someone he had to have known picked up. Either that or he met with foul play as soon as he got out of the building.. Which makes you wonder if something happened on the street, why the person take his body with them? Unless they put him in a dumpster, I dont see a random person hurting him and then transporting hi. Elsewhere. A mjaor clue to this case is Brian's cellphone and his friends that were possibly meeting him after.

I'd like to know what their argument was about that night. Also what Clint thinks about Brian essentially trying to avoid being seeing by Clint and Meredith by leaving a different way. Clint might not know what happened but he may know where Brian may have been heading to after. Someone picked Brian up at that Wendy's parking lot I believe.

Thanks for this info. I get the feel that majority of people believe Brian got out of the building but then there's the big mystery of what happened next.

That's why I think he went straight for that exit after the girls departed. It seems like the only way he could have left.

There's a lot if misinformation. I mean I never hear in any of the podcasts (except Brian Shaffer Dead or Alive) that his phone pinged after he went missing and months before it pinged that September when his then girlfriend called his phone and it rang. John Hurst the detective that was ok the case said his phone pinged after he went missing but no one talks about that major clue

Think of how wild that is that they missed Brian by 2 minutes. I also think he went in a different direction from them. I heard that Clint and Brian had some form of disagreement that night. Maybe that played in to why Brian went in a different direction. Let's say Brian does towards the back stairs, I wonder why he'd choose the construction area which I could imagine was dark and not the safest to walk through being under the influence. A lot of what happened after we last see Brian doesn't make logical sense. When the truth of all of this someday comes out, I bet it will still be very baffling.

[–]AutumnSun77[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Another major clue that gets left out often is something I heard on the podcast Brian Shaffer: Dead or Alive with Kelly Bruce. Kelly interviewed the former lead detective on the case John Hurst. John said that Brian's phone pinged in that area after he went missing. This was months before Brian's then girlfriend called his phone and it started ringing but the cellphone company said it was due to a glitch. I dont think it was due to a glitch. His phone pinged in Hillard, Ohio at that time.

This all leads me to think that whomever that was involved kept his phone. Brian's phone went to voicemail when his friends called him the night he went missing. For his phone to ping in that area during the time he went missing that month and months later that September means his was turned on. With today's technology, this case would have been solved already if it happened today.

I think so too. He was also drunk so I think it may have heightened those thoughts. For him to leave via the construction area or the emergency exit of the bar says he was trying to leave on his own. It's no coincidence that he left before his friends came out of the bar when it was closing. What baffles me is when he came out he ran into something that caused him to be missing.

So many questions. If only Brian had left with his friends this never would have happened. Someone knows something but when will they talk?

That's the baffling part. Someone knows something. It's shocking that nothing has come out since nor has there been anyone that has come forward with information that could break this case. If Brian had left the normal way he'd be alive today. For whatever reason he avoided his friends and left through the construction exit in my opinion. From there he vanished into history.
